iPhone 2.0 Blues – 9838 error?

I was excited today to download and install iPhone 2.0 software upgrade on my original iPhone. Last night I searched and searched through all of the new Apps so I would be ready for the upgrade and Sync.

Well guess what, error 9838 pops up and says I can not access the iTunes store. I am guessing this is due to a huge busy signal going on with every other iPhone junkie trying to get upgraded at the iTunes store.

So for now, I’m stuck in Emergency Phone mode. I hope to get it up and running soon though and start enjoying all of the new upgrades which will definitely set this phone apart from the rest. I’ll update you with any fixes if I find any.

Now I’m getting the error -4. Not sure what that means. But I’m just hoping Apple is having high demand and it’s nothing more than that.

Success! It appears there was no true error, just a busy signal at the server.

iPhone finally synced up and is now working properly.
