First, let me say that I love your website!
I was looking for a place to rant about my hosting provider... but not in a way that you might think.
I moved from my old terrible host (1fasthost.com) in March 2004 after having over 10 days in a row of outages at the end of February and many other days besides that. I ended up filing a Better Business Bureau complaint about them when they refused to deal with their problems or give me a refund, which eventually resulted in me getting a check….which promptly bounced. Needless to say, I was looking for a new service provider, but this time, I was going to make sure that I didn't end up with horrible services (in a server) nor horrible customer service.
At that point after being burned by the last 3 "Inexpensive Shared Hosting Providers" in a row, I was extremely worried about finding a new host. Keep in mind, that by March of 2004 I was out over $500.00 in two years and had nothing to show for it but extremely frustrated customers. Bad hosting was hurting MY reputation more than anyone else’s.
It was at this time that I decided to look for a FREE host, until I could find a reputable host to pay. I thought that being partnered with "Free hosting provider", I would end up with an inferior configuration and extremely poor customer service, but I also thought they could at least “tie me over” until I could get up and running with someone reputable.
I couldn't have more completely wrong about my assumptions.
Since moving to
http://www.thefreewebhosting.com in March, I've had a total of around 60 minutes of outage time which is still better than 99.9% uptime.
I can honestly say that 99% of the total outage times has fallen between the hours of 3AM and 4AM EST when the staff does scheduled updates and hardware service. My page load times are 640x faster than with my last host and 820x faster than the host before that.
My features include the latest stable builds of every piece of software a webmaster would want including MySQL 4.0.20, PHP 4.3.9, BigMem RH Linux, and Apache 1.3.31.
I also have a full featured Cpanel with everything loaded including phpMyadmin 2.6.0-PL2, SPAM Assassin, Sub-Domain controls, and the other 50 features that I now wonder how I lived without before. This was great for me since my last host was using a really (REALLY) old version of Plesk that I just hated.
In a nutshell, I love this host! I've been amazed at everything about them from having Open Forums for all customers to talk to each other, to the extremely fast and effective Technical Support, to the over-all construction of the servers as well as the Telecommunications provisioning. They are quite simply the best turnkey solution I've ever seen in dedicated or shared hosting.
While the first hundreds of customers were given free hosting, they now sell their services with very reasonable pricing. I would certainly recommend them over ANY other shared host I've ever seen or heard of. I am completely impressed and frankly surprised just how good things have been for me while at

In closing, I'm writing this because I want to help my host by referring others, but I wanted everyone to know (even with my reputation in the industry for being a "hard ass") that I found a terrific solution. PLEASE Don't just take my word for it though, visit their community forums (where customers go to talk about everything from Site Designs and coding to technical support) and see for yourself.
I also would really appreciate it if you reviewed them on your own to see what you think! I think you provide a valuable service to the community and reviewing this host would find you just as surprised as I am to find such great solutions for such reasonable pricing!
