Thumbs down Avoid Powweb at all costs

Consistent Database connection problems. Consistent server connection problems. Slow server response during peak hours of day (pacific time). Poor/rude customer service.

If you are on a budget and play with web development from time to time PowWeb may be an option for you. Though I wouldnt recommend it since even part time designers need reliable access. 5 thumbs down.

I've been a customer 9 months and I do not understand why Powweb is rated so highly at all of the review sites? All you have to do is visit Powwebs customer forums to see they have consistenly unreliable service and virtually non-existent customer service. These reviews needs to be revised. I (and probably others) picked Powweb becuase of them and reget it.

Everyone really needs to view Powweb forums, even though they regulary delete posts that complain about thier service there are literally thousands of complains still there. I reported a recurring problem today at Powweb forums, and below are too gripes from other customers today...

No, everytime I try to contact PowWeb, I get ignored. I've received more help from their staff on the message boards than anywhere else.

My advice to anyone considering Powweb for databases is, unless you're just screwing around, go somewhere else. I have not had one week in the past two months without my database going down for at least a few hours, and it's been down the past two days now due to an increasingly less intermittent problem I originally reported 6-8 weeks ago.
