Highly Redundant Network

Never thought that this system is so complicated. I mean web hosting server infrustructure.
ServerPoint.com depects it on their web site. All is understandable for me but a battery system. What's that?
Can anybody explain it to me?

Providing a true redundant network can be a complicated system. The backup option you have mentioned would be the battery fail safe system. Should their DC power supply fail they would have the option to fall back to their battery system.

It is also common to see DC's install multiple power grid systems, diesel generators and battery backups as well to ensure they provide their customers with a fully redundant network.

Regards,

How fully can a battery system protect serverpoint.com from outages in the datacenter?
How is this issue fixed in other datacenters?

Guess the highly qualified staff must work in those datacenter to provide fully redundant network. ServerPoint.com has a safe battery system and their clients get the services they pay their money for.

Every datacenter would have its own backup system. If serverpointhave own datacenter, they just cant afford to do anything less reliable.

According to the Whois records, ServerPoint.com has their datacenter in Las Vegas supplying all necessary conditions for providing co-location services for their clients.
How many Units do you want to have from them?

Not only colocation services. They must have hosted all there: shared web hosting customers and VPS and dedi etc

I wonder what makes up the cost of dedicated services.

The price on Units from ServerPoint.com depends on the amount you want to have from them. Foe example, if you use 1/4 rack, it'll cost you $349.99 per month.

redundancy is actually what clients pay for, it's natural the company offers this.

ServerPoint.com has their own datacenter in Las Vegas and it's a big advantage. It's easier to provide nice co-location services and other kinds of services as well.

Has anybody seen any discount on ServerPoint.com services, I wonder? Such a big company must have them.
Do they have one or more datacenters?

Kollins, if you are looking for dedicated hosting discounts, you can check HostV.com dedicated server options, they are offering 10% off first month deal, you may also check Fastservers.net and their dedicated hosting deals, there should be some discounts. Though I'm not sure if RAID10 is provided on their deals.
