Have You Ever Applied for Dedicated IP?
Have you got any experience applying for dedicated IP address? Did you provide any solid argumentation for your host? Any documents?

I'm using shared plans from Hqhost.net and Serverpoint.com, both companies offer shell access on request, so usually I have to contact the support staff and explain them why I need shell access.

You dont need to provide any reason, unless you need a large number of IP. Getting 2-3 shouldn't be a problem at all.

Usually, a dedicated IP costs for $2/month but that depends on the hosts... Many have offered the free ones
