Static vs Dynamic Web Hopsting

What are the main differences in requirements for static and dynamic web sites?

Yes true, static websites are very simple in the URL writing. They don't have database. On the other hand, the dynamic websites allow you to generate the database and also use programming scripts for more complex websites.

Dynamic websites are typically driven by databases.

Funny one.

I dont know if you are really looking for an answer for such a baisc question. Staic sites can just serve static content and can not interract with user or provide customized content. Dynamic sites can be really powerful - procesing the user input, providing features like search, registration, login and whatever that takes logic and data on backend.

Hello!
I think that this 2 different kinds of the sites need different servers to feel comfortable on there. If you have say static web site (html one) I think that you do not need extra fast server and something like webhostgiant.com or hostgator.com will be enough... And that will be less expensive. But if you need to have dinamic web site and have data be operated fast you need something fast like Simplehelix.com or lunarpages.com...
So I think that the main difference between them is web hosting choice.
IMO
