ACCUBURST = the WORST

I tried accuburst because they had a $ back after 30 days deal, they seemed reliable from all their references, they had a 99.9% uptime guarantee etc etc. They were ok at first... the first few times the site went down I didn't hold it against them. They had a fast response team, there was the live chat, 1800 number etc - it's reassuring to know you can reach people.

... NOW?? another story, 2 months later. My site has been down for almost a week straight, not to mention very frequent lapses in service/email. I've been writing emails with no response for a month, their phone lines are curiously "busy with other customers" every time I call and their live chat and forum are disabled. I've switched hosts needless to say, but still want my information back via ftp access & money back for all the time/energy/happiness I've lost from them according to what they advertise!!

Take my advice & stay away from Accuburst!! Even though they have a reference for good hosting from this site, my experience was horrible & I find their methods very suspect.

If you see other sites like this, feel free spread the word to help others avoid the frustration they've caused me. I will be posting reviews about them in as many places I can find.

I'm trying out blue host to get the cpanel I need so far am very happy. I've had excellent experience with 1and1 - top notch but you pay a few dollars more.. it's worth it! They provide a wonderful image library, free software for SEO, etc and their servers are never down and very fast for uploading.

That's my 2 cents, good luck.

PS - also stay FAR FAR away from Doorhost.net, they were even worse than accuburst!!!! My site and numerous client sites were down for months with no response after the ownership of the business (and their practices evidently) changed.

update

Since I've posted, findmyhost.com has asked me to remove my previous claim, and I refuse because I want people reading this forum to hear the true story.

I've since submitted a complaint with the better business bureau and there is someone handling my claim... no word yet, but I'm hoping they can at least help me get access back to my site to download my site information since accuburst no longer responds to my calls/emails/tickets.

I'll keep you posted & stand by my posts.

ps - they still refuse to cancel my account after MONTHS of trying.

mr. data post deleted?

Will a moderator please tell my what the mr. data post was about & what merited its being deleted?

Since you've already threatened to delete my post, I'm curious if he wasn't being honest as well.

I've sent you all the proof I can short of forwarding you ever email I sent to accuburst pleeding with them to live up to their advertising, I hope that's enough to keep my comments on this site.

He was a spammer, that was why he was removed.

Your behavior is out of line. We did not ask you to remove your post. We simply asked for data proving you were indeed a customer of theirs.

Disturbing Post

After reading your response, I felt compelled to share what we sent you, and how you mis-interpreted it. Not only do we feel your comments below are completely out of line and un-true, we feel you owe FindMyHost.com a public apology (conerning the fact we requested you to remove your post).

As you can see below, we care about honesty and integrity from not only ourselves but from consumers who post reviews. We take this seriously and will continue to validate consumer reviews both positive and negative.

If you are twisting this story to fit your own needs, might we also assume you did the same with the Accurburst situation? As in your statement you want people to see the true story, let's backup and take a look at what FindMyHost.com requested to confirm your consumer review.

Here is what we sent to Shannon Vettes to verify her post:
Hello,

Thank you for your recent post on our forum HostDiscussion.com.

ACCUBURST = the WORST

Unfortunately, it has been brought to our attention that your post may not contain a legitimate review. The FindMyHost Network prides itself on honest and unbiased reviews and as part of our investigation and in order to keep your review live and online we require supporting evidence that you were a past customer of the host in question.

Please provide us with as much of the following to verify your review: full name on hosting account (along with email address), copy of your welcome email, copy of your recent invoice, support trouble ticket responses, screenshot of your control panel, etc.

We appreciate your assistance in this matter and we thank you for taking the time to post on our forum.

Thank you,
Testing Team

Shannon Vettes responds in this forum (excerpts of posts contained here within):

As you can read above, we made no such request. We simply asked for proof she was indeed a customer. Her response is un-professional at best and totally out of line.

We pride our website containing un-biased and honest consumer reviews. However, as many of you know, many posts are done with ill intent by other web hosts or customers who are bent on destroying a companies image.

We will continue to list this post, however, we want everyone to understand how seriously we take our reviews and posts on our forums.

Regards,

Deemed inappropriate, I apologize for my assumption that findmyhost.com may have had some interest in protecting accuburst. It was rash and not accurate. I explain my reaction only by bitterness towards other references that refuse to protect consumers, the frustration over maintained silence on the part of accuburst, and shock that my post seemed false to your moderators.

Twisting the story? In my defense, I provided all the proof requested AND MORE and still received mail questioning my post. No response was issued regarding my request to leave the post, nor to remove your recommendation from this company's website. Perhaps this is the result of one email being answered before another was discovered with my proof/information; whatever the case it fed my suspicions & frustration.

My response was not formed intentionally to manipulate public opinion, but to inform and seek aid in the interests of everyone.

thanks for explaining. To make things clear - my use of the word "request" in reference to removal of my post was inaccurate and I have apologized. It was more like a warning but in combination with other responses rubbed me the wrong way since I considered my post benevolent and not suspicious.

I would also like to add that I am glad findmyhost.com takes these posts seriously. I would like to be informed about any actions taken to remove the recommendation from the accuburst site since they are not referenced by yours.
