But you also pay more and if it doesnt work out, your out more money than if you were a reseller.
Now if you become a reseller, you have less options with your customers as far as support goes. You will have to be submitting tickets to your provider if something is wrong with their server. And the customer will get mad about the wait time.
Theres some risks with both, but if you can afford it, starting your own is the way to go! |

Rep Power: 0 | Start your business by reselling someone else products ... once you have the experience go on your own. Doing otherwise could work but would be a lot more risky

Rep Power: 0 | it all depends how much you know?
if you know alot then started with a dedicated server or vps.
but if you dont start with a reseller,
it also depends on what you want to sell?
and what your buidget may be?
if you have know alot, and have a good budget start with a dedicated server, or even a vps?
you will benifit in the long run, just stick to it and dont give up

Rep Power: 0 | It is always advisable to start your hosting business with a reseller account. This is the way many reputable big companies started out. This brings your costs down and allows you to grow your business. Once you have grown enough, you can expand to a VPS or Dedicated servers, and so on to owning or managing multiple servers within your network. If things are not going so well, it is also easier to "pull the plug" if you have a reseller account. |
