Just curious what your ratio of signups to actual paying customers is. I've had people signup recently only to get to the pay/checkout page and never pay. I'm using paypal as my cc processor and just wondered if that maybe turning people away.

Hello Mark,

We see this all the time. Sometimes it happens as much as 5 times per week. It may be that someone didn't want to pay with PayPal but I think people also change their mind etc.

Usually to design my campaigns, I use rough ratios that are that 1 out of 10 visits do start the signup process and around 1 out of 10 that started do complete signup it in full, including payment.

ratio of 1:10 actualy complete there transaction?

if your ratio is 1:10 do you think you should be wondering why your company is turning so many people away?

From what I've seen I'd say that out of those who complete the order about 10-20% won't pay the invoice. Supprisingly you can usually gain these clients if you contact them to make sure there isn't any problems.

about 5%, normally we follow up with them closely to ensure smooth transition.

1 in 10 seems like a very low conversion rate. Perhaps there is a problem with the signup process?

I think your offer should be enticing and with great value for money otherwise people would think of it as a mediocre service just like all the others..

Try to put more value to your packages, if you want you come up with better paying schemes or promo packages like "get 3 months free when you pay for 1 year"

In another way, yes. I meet with clients who wish to have a website. They're excited, I'm excited. I do the hours of research and put together a proposal. And then...nothing. I am not saying it happens all the time, but it does happen.
