What is the link to the godaddy hosting company. I do know that the registrar Godaddy Software also does hosting among many other things.

http://www.godaddy.com

You have to signup and you get a choice to get webhosting or not.

Oh, btw, I HATE the fact that hosting companies just want money! I should say some. Some have free services which is so awesome. They really care!

Im not sure how they would be for web hosting as I thought there main business was domain registration.
Good luck.

GoDaddy

I know this thread is ancient, but since people are still viewing it...

GoDaddy.com is a super-great domain name company and I seriously doubt it would have anything to do with a porn site.

They do offer hosting and if you have a small site that doesn't do eCommerce and doesn't rely on server-side code, databases, etc. then hosting issues aren't too important so why not go for cheap hosting?

On the other hand, if your site or your clients' sites are for business and you need complete database support (including automated backups, etc.), tons of features, solid PHP support and 100% reliability, then I wouldn't go with any of the big companies who tend to be the "WalMarts" of hosting.

IMHO, you'd be better off with a dependable, smaller company who would pay attention to you and give you the time and support you want and need. Of course, this means you're going to pay more than five dollars a month!

Wink

It doesnt hurt to give Godaddy a try. I personally think they are excellent for small business. My company uses Godaddy hosting. Our website supports asp,we use 2 MSSQL databases,1mysql and even 1 small access db..This is all provided by Godaddy.

Their customer service techs are top notch in the business. They will do what they can to help you out with any problems you might be experiencing.

One of my favorites is the ability to print out all receipts for tax time. I swear whoever thought of that must had been thinking tax time..

Also we have noticed they offer virtual/dedicated hosting now running on FEDORA CORE 2...

Anyways give em a shot, the ceo has his own weblog and is a former Marine to boot!!

I do not work for Godaddy I and my team are just very happy with their hosting service!

Just to make a difference, I've seen some negative reviews of Godaddy hosting at some other forums.

I too have seen lots of negative reviews. But I am happy with their VPS and dedicated offerings. Not managed, but if you can manage it yourself its real value for money.

I just checked their website. It seems that for every domain name registered, you'll get a limited free web hosting with ads. Wow, the competition among web hosts are getting more and more.

GoDaddy is a great domain registrar company, but their hosting is weak.

Godaddy is good domain name registrar. No one their web hosting or software developing efforts cannot be considered as sucessful IMO.

I would recomend godaddy, they're pretty cheap and they have all the tools you'd need!
