I signed up for ApolloHosting's Virtual Private Server service. It was horrendous. They provided the worst customer service I've ever had the misfortune to experience. I had problems day after day, and it took them days to resolve them. I had multiple domains hosted, and at least one was unavailable at all times, for a variety of reasons. This was a disaster from start to finish.

I had multiple domains, multiple sites, and multiple IP addresses. Every time I added a domain or site, the problems began all over again.

Their customer service really is noteworthy for being polite, but useless and frequently unresponsive.

I dont know if they offer managed service, but having problem adding a site doesnt look like an issue from their side. A VPS gives you all the flexibility with root access - all the problems mentioned can be fixed by you. It comes down to yuor contract - without knowing the details I cant comment on whoes fault is that!
