Olympics fans will be able to find detailed information at bbc.co.uk/olympics of Event Schedules, Country and Athlete Profiles and a full Medals Table. Every result for every sport, including split times, will be available on the BBC’s site.

Viewers will be able to access results, play by play, standings, and a variety of other statistics.

Sports enthusiasts will be able to access detailed information on a particular sport, with summary information available for a more mainstream audience. In addition to the results section, users will also be able to search for event schedule-s by sport or by day or both.

Results and medal data will simultaneously be available for mobile.
